I retired from active employment in 2002, however I have remained active in the business world via my involvement as an angel investor and Venture Partner with Frontier Venture Capital. I currently sit on the boards of Vitalant, where I am board chair, and the Vitalant Foundation.

In 2008 I founded BoardEvals, LLC, a software and services company focused on e-governance solutions. The idea for BoardEvals came from my 20+ years of experience on over 25 public, private and non-profit boards of directors. I continue to provide governance evaluation services/consulting through BoardEvals.

My professional career includes senior level executive positions in both public and private companies. These include Quantum Corp. (EVP, Worldwide Sales & Marketing), Snap Appliances, Inc. (President & CEO), ShareWave, Inc. (President & CEO), Compaq Computer Corp. (VP & GM, North American Operations) and AST Research, Inc. (President & COO). I was also the co-founder, in 2000, of one of the early corporate venture capital funds, QTV Capital.

I have been a frequent participant at key industry events, and have been a speaker on numerous occasions including events such as The Churchill Club, Comdex, Demo, Digital Living Room and Technology Outlook. I have been a guest lecturer at UCLA, UC Irvine, UC Davis, Sacramento State and Portland State.

Life is short, art long, opportunity fleeting, experience treacherous, judgment difficult.
